One of my favourite animals to see during our hikes here in PA is the red fox. Quite often we come across one in a field while I'm actually looking for birds, and the surprise is always a delightful one. Foxes are truly beautiful creatures, and their soft fur and bright eyes are features that I have been looking forward to trying to capture in a painting for a while. This soft pastel painting is one of my first using this medium, and I love how it turned out.
