This osprey was one of the birds I saw on a trip to Florida a few years ago. It was fascinating to watch this majestic bird catch a fish and bring it to a perch so close to where I was standing. I took a video of him and chose several frames to work from for this drawing. One of the features I loved so much about this bird is how the wind caught some of its feathers to give it a very lively appearance, so I made sure to include these in the final work as well.
